Competition winning scheme for a 36,000m² Urban Logistics Hub in the 18th arrondissement of Paris, for development company ‘Sogaris’.

The project, currently in detailed design phase, is being developed in cooperation with Espaces Ferroviaires, subsidiary of the SNCF rail operator, and the Mairie de Paris. It will include a large scale freight distribution centre on two levels with associated storage, office and maintenance areas. In addition there will be 2,500m² enterprise centre and a rooftop restaurant and gardens with panoramic views to Montmartre. Situated alongside the existing railway lines of Gare du Nord the project will see freight delivered in bulk by train, instead of by HGV trucks, for subsequent distribution around central Paris via small, cleaner, vehicles. A significant reduction in emissions and pollution is predicted as a result.
